That's right AFRICAN BLUES (REPRISE) - the original Music, Life, and Culture movement founded over 20 yrs ago in Chicago as a part of the USG collective.
Founded by Ron Trent in 1995 as a music and art event in his loft, the Urban Sound Gallery, African Blues later became a moving sound track. The idea was to celebrate togetherness on a homegrown level, bringing together collective forces to the market place. Though the event was developed in Chicago, African Blues launched in a big way on the city streets of NYC. Now it is time for it is time for its return back home...

Here is a excerpt for this event:
"20 years ago Joaquin Joe Claussell and Ron Trent came together to create a musical experience that spearheaded a cultural revival of Pan African music and dance.
Founded by Ron Trent in Chicago, African Blues became a source of inspiration for a movement of creative forces in the Chicago scene. Activating progressive minds who were looking to express themselves on a platform that would allow freedom, unity and creativity to culminate, eventually making a landing on the streets of New York on MLK's birthday in 1997. Ron and Joe will do a live recording to commemorate this POWERFUL beginning at Cosmic Arts."
