The Champ!!! Mr. Ali turns 72!!!
Growing up in the 70's in Chicago I couldn't help but be mesmerized by the magic of Muhammad Ali. Looking at his personal sacrifices and the leadership roll he commanded in his champion years I can not help but be proud to say I grew up having him as one of my hero's. He is majorly why I am a big boxing fan to this day. Ali is more then a boxer, he is a beautiful image of strength, class, and unabashed pride in African American culture.
In Chicago, the head quarters of the Nation of Islam, the home of Ali, and the geographical site of many revolutionary acts, I was directly effected by the essence created around Ali's actions and that of our people who follow a common thread. Ethos developed out of the civil rights movement into the 70's formed a sense of being that I aline myself with to this day. Mr. Ali stands for something deeper in hearts of the people. I could go on and on but this is just a shout of acknowledgement. Happy Birthday King Muhammad Ali!!!! You are the Greatest!!!
With Respect and Honor RT
