With a career that spans over 30 years, including heavyweight projects including Masters At Work, Elements Of Life and Nuyorican Soul, Vega’s Starring... is unbelievably his first solo album and features over twenty-five artists on twenty-eight different songs. The esteemed group of collaborators on the album include Kendrick Lamar, Funkadelic & George Clinton, Jocelyn Brown, Caron Wheeler of Soul II Soul, Byron Stingily, Tony Mumrelle and Nick Monaco & Soul Clap and the collection spans the genres of afro, house, funk, latin, jazz, soul and gospel. Vega previously was awarded a Grammy in 2006 for his remix of Curtis Mayfield Superfly and he was sampled by Kanye West this year in Fade. He explains of Starring..., “My inspirations came from various visits around the world and experiences in life. The album came together naturally, it was like planting a tree, each branch represented an artist, a sound, a groove. The entire process happened within a few years. The experience with the artists on the album was magical; they are all so talented and very unique and have their own special quality. This body of work is a masterpiece that will be party of my legacy.”
Signed to Vega Records, Cape Verdean Anane Vega has been making an impression on the house music scene with her talent as both a solo artist and world-renown DJ. Alongside her husband and business partner Louie Vega, Anane has been able to share her passion of music with a worldwide audience: from the clubs of New York City to the beaches of Italy. As an artist, Anané has accomplished a great number of feats: singing the opening song “One Dream” at Super Bowl XLI during her husband and their group Elements of Life’s appearance; an invitation to perform at the President Obama’s Ambassadors Ball; and the only female artists on the bill for Nelson Mandela’s party African National Congress to perform and speak in front of 10,000 kids for a large community event, during which Anane used the opportunity to promote her message of female empowerment and cites the experience as one of her favorites. Anané Vega is also responsible for her music labels, Nulu Music and Nulu Electronic which already boasts an impressive more of 50 releases with artists from all parts of Africa, USA and Europe.
Legendary DJ, music producer and founder of Prescription Records, Ron Trent has been active in the music industry for over 35 years. Hailing from a musical family, Ron Trent released his first record ‘Altered States’ at the tender age of 17 and has been a constant force in the world of underground dance music as a leading DJ and tastemaker. Ron Trent as consistently been in demand as a remixer for artists such as Erykah Badu, Amel Larrieux and Jill Scott. As a DJ, Trent set the trend with the popular Giant Steps club night in the late 90s in New York City, regularly featuring groundbreaking new artists; and the Africa HiFi club night in Chicago in mid-2000s, which helped to propel the sound of Fela Kuti and sounds of afrobeat into the dance consciousness. Trent is also the co-founder of the Block Party, a community open-air festival in Chicago which drew crowds of 16,000 in its 13th year in 2016. With his latest imprint Music And Power, Ron Trent continues to influence and set the bar for underground music producers today.
In the mid ‘90s, at a time when the shape shifting of house music was rarely heard outside Chicago and New York, Marques introduced the East coast sound to his native Los Angeles via legendary house parties like BBC, MAC’s Garage and Does Your Mama Know, to name a few. In the ensuing years, his prowess as a talented DJ, promoter, and producer earned him recognition as one of the most sought-after artists in the genre, domestically and internationally. Always true to his inner visionary, Marques continued his ventures into unchartered territory by introducing Los Angeles to acid jazz” through Brass, his unforgettable weekly which debuted live performances of high profile acts such as Jamiroquai and the Brand New Heavies way back when. At the same time, Marques continued playing his own brand of uncompromising, soulfully organic house alongside talents such as Frankie Knuckles, Louie Vega, David Morales, Danny Teneglia, King Britt, Mark Farina, and Miguel Migs. Marques’ keen sixth sense for creating epic parties culminated in his weekly house institution, Deep, now going strong in its thirteenth year. Marques has also channeled his gifts in the studio, releasing tracks and remixes on revered labels such as Om, Strictly Rhythm, King Street, Nervous, and Yoshitoshi. Marques continues to spread the gospel of house music by globe-trotting everywhere from Los Angeles to New York, Shanghai to Barcelona and Tel Aviv to Dubai with the mission to bring musical unity, light and love to all souls in his pathway.

DJ Basil Thomas is a New York legend and luminary who is known for hosting some of the world’s biggest dance events in the late 80s and 90s. Aside from starting his DJ career at the infamous Paradise Garage, DJ Basil was also known for producing house tracks under the name of 'Basil Hardhaus' in the 90s and is still a prominent feature today. DJ Basil is considered one of the pioneers of the New York house dance culture and influencing many generations of dancers who have carried on to establish the house dance style worldwide.

A career spanning three decades as a vocalist, songwriter, producer and composer, Josh’s ability to meld spirit and passion through song is a testament to his longevity and viability in an ever changing industry. One third of the famed 80’s and 90’s Motown Records group, Blaze, Josh Milan has been a force in the music industry for well over 30 years. Multiple chart topping dance classics and remixes for such artists as Lisa Stansfield, Diana Ross, Babyface, El DeBarge and Jody Watley, Josh’s contribution to the music landscape are canonized and respected. A multi-instrumentalist (guitar, bass, keys, drums, percussion), Josh currently runs Honeycomb Music and continues to show his prowess both as a DJ and with his live performances on stage.
Philadelphia native Vikter Duplaix began his career early studying music and singing in touring choirs with legendary artists such as Teddy Pendergrass and Luciano Pavarotti and was mentored by Philadelphia International’s Kenny Gamble. Vikter is a founding member of Philly’s Axis Music Group, a music production house shared with Grammy award winner James Poyser. As a producer, Vikter has worked with the likes of Erykah Badu, Earth, Wind and Fire, Jill Scott, Musiq Soulchild, Common, Eric Benet, Bilal and many others. Vikter’s introduction to the “worldwide” music scene as a recording artist came with his first full-length album “International Affairs” released in 2002, and has been nominated for a Grammy Award in 2008 for Best Urban/Alternative Performance with his single ‘Make A Baby’. Aside from his musical talents, Vikter is recently co-starred on the first two seasons of Viacom’s (VH1/BET) reality television DJ competition series, “Master of the Mix”. As an event curator, Vikter oversees three nation-wide event brands; “Kiss-n-Grind”, “Txturz” & “Suite Seduction. Over the years, Duplaix’s events have hosted such luminaries as Prince, Questlove of the Roots, DJ Kid Capri, Eric Benet, Biz Markie, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Idris Elba, Sanaa Lathan, Raphael Saadiq, Craig Robinson, Rashida Jones, Samantha Ronson, Garth Trinidad, DJ Rashida and many others.
